This information sheet has been produced jointly with the Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine, and covers the packaging and labelling requirements of detergents and biocidal detergents

The Detergent Regulations cover the manufacture, placing, making available on the market and use of detergent products. In addition, detergents with a biocidal action are also regulated by the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) which includes disinfectants, sanitisers, antimicrobials, antibacterials and any detergents with biocidal activity. This information sheet covers the packaging and labelling requirements of detergents and biocidal detergents.
