The 'MushroomPro' Mobile Processing Unit at Horticulture 2012

The MushroomPro Mobile Processing Unit promises to be the next revolution in mushroom harvesting. It is designed to speed up picking rates, reduce staff, accurately sort the mushrooms and weigh the punnets. It will increase crop yields by its accurate stock trimming in the range of 7-12%, and this, along with the reduction in handling, improves product quality.

While pickers may pick 25kgs per hour the Mushroom Pro has operated with an experienced picker at around 120kgs per hour with less experienced operators at approximately 80-100kgs per hour. With labour costs escalating and maximising yield a priority, it is no wonder that interest around the world is high.

The machine has been designed and manufactured in N. Ireland. It has undergone several years of extensive testing in contract picking environments and is now in its 6 th version. This comes with 3.5m lift, enhanced operator cradle, improved mobility controls and punnet handling / de-nesting features.

Product specifications and videos can be seen at www.mushroompro.co.uk and you can email us at sales@mushroompro.co.uk for more information.

An open day / demonstration will be held on a mushroom farm in Ireland in October. If you would like to be advised of this event please email us stating your interest.
