Horkans Launch Updated Branding & POS Materials
- 15 March 2012
Horkans wanted to create a strong brand identity with accompanying style guidelines to maintain consistency in their nationwide centres.Horkans has primarily been associated with a deep, rich purple over the years. As family history and heritage are essential to their brand, it was important to keep purple as the primary colour.
The secondary colours were chosen to compliment the purple and are there to represent the seasonal change that occurs in nature. This is a common theme in the brand, which is further enforced through the seasonal icons that make up the logotype.
There is a natural symmetry in the design model of each icon, the elements are constructed from a seed shape design. This is so the organic flow of the design continues through out all components.
The style guidelines are over 80 pages in length and include:
- The Horkans family heritage
- Brand values
- Brand identity
- Logotype
- Photography
- POS signage
- Category & directional signage
- External signage
- Uniforms
- Stationery
