Senior Archaeologist with the National Monuments Service, Department of Arts, Heritage & the Gaeltacht. Margaret will talk about the role of the department in assessing draft County Development Plans in relation to impacts on archaeology.
Bill Hastings Director, ARC Consultants
Bill has lectured for many years in the School of Architecture in UCD, and is a Grade 1 Conservation Architect. Arc Consultants is a multi- disciplined consultancy working in the area of environmental design and development. The consultancy is a RIAI Grade 1 conservation practice .
Bill will talk about a project undertaken to evaluate the ‘zone of visual influence’ of the Rock of Cashel. The methodology that was developed is a useful tool for conducting similar evaluations on historic monument
