RDS Science Live - The World Wild Web: Maintaining the Balance

What is a food web? And what would happen if one of the animals in a particular food web became extinct? This workshop is designed to educate students about food chains and food webs; as well as their importance in ecosystem functioning and survival. This workshop encourages students to think for themselves and form their own opinions on the conservation of wildlife, through the use of biofacts to illustrate the importance of conserving the components of food webs.

Relevance to the Curriculum: Senior Primary Aged 10-12

This demonstration lecture investigates many aspects of the primary science curriculum, especially those relating to the Living Things and Environmental Awareness course strands. This workshop will use practical, experiential and tactile learning.
