Future Leader in Food Processing Commended at Awards Ceremony

The award which recognises excellence in management and leadership within the Food and Drink Processing sector was won by Elaine Willis, Head of Innovation and Business Development at Linden Foods.Presenting Elaine with her award at the Ramada Hotel, Shaw's Bridge, Belfast, Alan Shannon said: "Elaine has achieved remarkable success with Linden Foods over the past six years.

Starting out her career in the company as New Product Development Manager, her sheer hard work and commitment to business improvement through management and leadership techniques have meant that both Elaine and her employer have reaped the rewards.　"This is further testament to the necessity of management and leadership skills in today's workplace. Having employees with these skills can drive productivity and creativity and enthuse and motivate their staff."

The Future Leader Award category was sponsored by the Department for Employment and Learning and is one of 13 awards presented during the Northern Ireland Food and Drink Awards 2013, which are organised by the Northern Ireland Food and Drink Association.
