Title: Tender for the Supply and Delivery of School Fruit
Abstract: Navan School Completion Programme, under the auspices of LMETB is a programme funded through the Department of Children and Youth Affairs. The aim of the programme is to support young people in mainstream primary and post primary, through the provision of programmes, nutrition and incentives to help students at risk continue in school. The provision of fruit is funded through the School MEALS Section, Department of Social Protection. We provide support in various schools in Navan Town. We require fresh fruit to be supplied and delivered daily to our schools. Navan School Completion intends to appoint one supplier of fresh fruit for our schools. The successful tenderer will be appointed to supply fresh fruit as required for the school year. It is proposed that this contract will take effect from September 2013. The contract will be subject to yearly performance reviews. The funding for the fruit provision is through the school meals programme under the Department of Social Protection Navan School Completion proposes to award this contract initially for a period of 12 months. Subject to satisfactory provision of the contracted service, by the successful tenderer, Navan School Completion may consider extending the contract for periods up to a maximum of two additional years.
