Conference - Living Landscape: Maximising our Outdoor Resources

International Speakers to talk at Major Sport, Health and Outdoor Recreation Conference, Galway. A number of national and international speakers will be sharing their expertise at a major conference in Clifden.
Speakers will present their experiences on how we can use sport, healthy lifestyles and outdoor recreation as tools to create jobs, improve our health, and sustain a quality of life for our ageing population. They will provide real examples of initiatives that have been implemented in their areas.
This event will be of interest to people operating in the areas of tourism; outdoor activities and events; sports development; health promotion- especially preventative health initiatives; community and rural development; and economic development and job creation. The event will explore how sport, healthy living and outdoor recreation can address economic, social and health issues faced by Irish society.
The ‘Living Landscape’ Conference is being organised by Galway County Council to stimulate a debate on how we can use sport, healthy lifestyles and recreation activities to address challenges such as obesity, an ageing population and unemployment.
