LI Event Focuses on Improving Open Space in the Affordable Housing Sector
- 24 February 2012
The LI and Neighbourhoods Green are launching a seminar to provide an insight into the needs of the affordable housing sector when it comes to open space...
In 2010, the Landscape Institute published Making it Home - the power of landscape to create good housing. Now, in partnership with Neighbourhoods Green, the LI is running a seminar that aims to improve landscape professionals' understanding of the affordable housing sector in order to ensure that design solutions and management regimes proposed for open spaces are realistic, sustainable and contribute to the creation of thriving communities.
The one day seminar at the LI HQ in London, will include speakers: Helen Williams, assistant director, Neighbourhoods, National Housing Federation; Irene Shaw FLI, Groundwork West Midlands; Luke Engleback CMLI, Studio Engleback; Noel Farrer CMLI, director, Farrer Huxley Associates; Waldemar Kripp CMLI, landscape team manager, Groundwork Wakefield; and Matthew Frith, deputy CEO, London Wildlife Trust.
