Job Description | Brief Description/Purpose of Job The Instructor shall be responsible for the training and development of all trainees on their programme in accordance with the agreed training programme specification (TPS), together with the day-to-day management and maintenance of all aspects of the programme. Key Tasks Provide systematic training according to specified curricula, maintaining all records required for effective monitoring of the trainees progress. Maintaining records of all training in accordance with both internal and external quality standards and producing reports on same, as required. As a key member of the rehabilitation team, to evaluate the vocational rehabilitation needs of each trainee and produce a profile of those needs. To instill by example and direct training, proper work attitudes and work behaviours in each trainee, and to provide trainees with adequate feedback about their progress and their future rehabilitation objectives. To develop curricula and innovative rehabilitation interventions in co-operation with Programme Development and Rehabilitation Officers. Ensure that there is a rational and economical use of all equipment, materials and supplies, and that all equipment is maintained in good working order. Apply all standards and procedures relating to Health & Safety Acts and maintain the highest levels of safety, constantly reminding trainees of possible dangers. Report to the Manager on all matters pertaining to the programme and immediately inform their Manager should any problems arise. The Instructor will carry out his/her work of instruction and general work training under the guidance of the management of National Learning Network and shall co-operate fully with the Instructors of other sections, as required. Observe all rules, standards and regulations in operation, as laid down from time to time. To contribute to the continuous improvement activities of National Learning Network and actively participate in and promote a culture of excellence throughout all National Learning Network activities, services etc. Any other duties and responsibilities within the general requirements of the above job specification as may be required from time to time. Qualifications | Candidates will require: Relevant professional qualification, or equivalent Number of years relevant work experience. A full, clean drivers licence is essential They will also require excellent facilitation, communication and organisation skills coupled with an ability to develop and implement training modules on an individual basis. The successful candidates will receive training in the methods required for developing people with individual training needs. Roles on the Trainer Register may also be filled as a result of this competition. |
