In order to be considered the content must be 250 words long approx and have a print ready image of 300dpi quality. Its all about marketing your business. Marketing and advertising your business when you are not busy and feel you have the time is too late. It should be part of your business DNA.
We are seeing a big increase in job adverts on www.JobsInHorticulture.ie especially from Landscape businesses. Its a sign of recovery in that sector as many of the companies are planning for long term growth as well as meeting current demand for their services. We never oversell the Jobs website as there is a real difficulty in finding the right person who can tick all of the boxes that a business needs. I was struck by a panel question at a recent conference. They were asked what was the biggest mistake they had made in business? Everyone's answer was 'Choosing the wrong people.' If you are planning for growth, then you will have to sell yourself to any potential employee's. Consider what is unique that you have to offer. Its not a given that there will be a rush of applicants but the people who are on HortiTrends and JobsInHorticulture tend to be interested in what is going on in the sector and rather than Horticulture being a career, its a passion.
