Sponsors Gather at Hillsborough - Garden Show Ireland

Sponsors of Garden Show Ireland met in the magnificent setting of the gardens at Hillsborough Castle, to show their support once more for the annual Show. Now in its 8th year, the Show continues to attract longstanding and new sponsors and all were excited about the event approaching.

This year the event will be jam-packed full of delights for gardeners and non-gardeners alike. From the stunning Show Gardens and Growers’ Pavilion, to the Garden Roadshow where experts will be on hand to solve your gardening dilemmas, the Show is a must-attend in any gardener’s calendar.

Not just for the green-fingered, Garden Show Ireland will feature baking with eggs produced by the hens in your garden, demonstrations of how to make jewellery from flowers you have grown, basket weaving demonstrations and an array of local craft and food goodies for sale. With lots of activities for the kids, live music and good food, and the mega-chilled Hammock Hideout for visitors to while away the hours, this year’s Garden Show Ireland promises something for everyone. Alderman Jim Dillon, Chairman of the Economic Development Committee, Lisburn City Council, says:

“I’m delighted that Garden Show Ireland is once again coming to Hillsborough. It brings a wealth of gardening expertise and this year lots of new family activities. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the organisations who continue to support the event to make it the success that it is”.
