New Multi Use Games Area Opens

Lord Mayor of Dublin, Andrew Montague, opened a new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) at Drumalee Road, off Aughrim Street, Dublin 7 (entrance through Aughrim Street Sports Centre) recently.

The MUGA includes a football pitch and basketball court and is conveniently situated beside the Aughrim Street Sports Centre. The new MUGA will be used by Youth projects, after school projects and by local schools for Physical Education classes.

“I am delighted to be here to open this new Multi Use Games Area which will be of great benefit to everyone who uses it. I’m a strong believer in encouraging people to be active and involved in sport which is very important for our health and well-being and also great fun” said the Lord Mayor.
