‘We are very excited about the launch of our Elevation network’ says Michael Ludlow, CEO of Meath Partnership. ‘Networking is becoming increasingly popular as entrepreneurs see the advantages of building mutually beneficial relationships with like minded people. We plan to develop a very successful network in County Meath where rural entrepreneurs can share skills and knowledge, pool resources and gather new ideas and really find new opportunities for business creation and growth.’

Allen Mc Adam is a qualified business consultant who has been appointed to support the development of Elevation. He believes that business networking makes real economic sense. ‘It’s a cost-effective method of generating new business’ says Allen. ‘It’s through that personal contact that you build relationships with prospective suppliers and even customers.’

Meath Partnership is committed to ensuring that this network becomes a real vehicle for growth among rural entrepreneurs and to do this it must explore opportunities further afield. ‘When we’re talking about networking here we’re not just talking about County Meath - or even individual sectors within the county’ says Allen ‘We plan to have a core group of members that will network with other similar groups within the North East, across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland as well. The real benefits will be achieved through meeting people outside your own comfort zone.’

The launch event provides an opportunity to find out more about Elevation and discover the tangible benefits of networking. It will also mark the launch of the roll out of a series of supports to rural businesses funded by Meath Partnership under the LEADER Programme, which will include capital investment through grant aid, business health checks, mentoring, networking events, study visits, technical support and much more.

The evening is a must for anyone thinking of either expanding or starting a new business and will provide information about the Elevation network, how it can help your business and some inspiring stories from successful entrepreneurs.
